EMPIRE REALTY ASSOCIATES HELPED TO RAISE OVER $50,000 FOR SCHOOLS AND CHARITIES
DANVILLE - An enthusiastic group of Empire Realty agents shared a sponsorship for the 27th annual Alamo Music & Wine Festival held on September 12; Don Morton, Angela Fitzgerald, Dawn Smallwood, Jane Thacker, Joy Pratt, Linda and Frank Cookson, and Raelene Sprague were the contributing agents.

The proceeds from the combined event sponsorships exceeded $50,000 and will be donated to the San Ramon Valley school music programs and community charities. Local Alamo eateries provided delicious and assorted dinner options and the children and “the young at heart” enjoyed the rhythms from various bands and vocal groups. The threat of stormy weather did not dampen the festivities of this traditional Alamo “block party”. The Alamo Rotary is to be commended for its annual organization and planning of this fun, charitable community event!

Empire agents work with buyers and sellers throughout the Diablo, Tri-Valley and Lamorinda communities.

DON MORTON OF EMPIRE REALTY ASSOCIATES SUPPORTS COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS
DANVILLE – Don Morton, Realtor at Empire Realty Associates is involved with several community organizations such as Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels, and the Alamo Rotary Club.

Empire Realty has been participating in Relay for Life, the 24 hour walk-a-thon for 4 years and Don will be there to help support the American Cancer Society on Saturday, June 27th.  Don is also very involved in supporting Alamo; the city which he resides in.  As a coordinator for the Alamo Rotary Club for Meals on Wheels, he helps deliver meals to Alamo & South Walnut Creek.  He is the Chairman for Traditional Sponsors of the Alamo Music Festival, which raise funds for six local schools and other Rotary charitable causes.  He was also recently named the Chairman of the Committee to select the Alamo Citizen of the Year.

“It’s all about giving back to the community where I have lived for many years.  Previous to my real estate career I worked for the IBM Corporation and was away from home during the week.  Weekends were the only free time that I had.  Real estate has given me the opportunity to get involved in my community and help others who are less fortunate.  It can be a very demanding full time business, but you make the time to what you feel is necessary.  Besides it can be very rewarding and it makes the giver feel good too” says Don.
